Ryan David Adams-Barton served as a school counselor for Miami Dade County Public Schools for 11 years, and has taught psychology professor at Miami Dade College for over 10 years where he is a full-time instructor. He is also a certified life coach specializing in holistic wellness and peak performance. Ryan comes from a long line of educators in his family. His mother, father, step father, and grandfather all spent their entire careers either teaching, counseling, or coaching for the public education system.
Ryan has not only carried on this tradition, but he has also found his calling as a life coach, where he is able to pull from all three areas of his expertise as a teacher, counselor, and coach to assist others in achieving optimal results in all areas of life.
His mission is to "reach and teach". Ryan is dedicated to connecting with those who want to grow in an attempt to educate, assist, and inform them, whether one on one or in a group setting. His passion is in helping others achieve enlightenment and live an optimally balanced, holistic life. Ryan continues to blog about topics from all aspects of life to give back and share with his followers. He has recently established his own Holistic Coaching business and founded his own company, The Ryan David Foundation, in an effort to serve others, both individually, and through live events, such as seminars and workshops. Ryan graduated from The University of West Florida with an undergraduate degree in psychology, and a master’s degree in school counseling. Along with his academic experience, working face to face with thousands of parents and students throughout his career has afforded him the opportunity to study and learn about a wide range of human behavior from all walks of life. With these opportunities and experiences, Ryan has worked to identify basic key concepts and fundamental principles that provide a foundation for areas such as change, growth, progress, motivation, achievement, leadership, and effectiveness. When it comes to educating and informing others about these areas, as well as failure, success, and adversity, Ryan draws from his personal and professional experiences, and prides himself on being both engaging and entertaining, while highly informative. His style of speaking and teaching involves the delivery of his life’s lessons through the use of his animated storytelling, combined with his ability to transform effective scientific concepts into relatable and understandable terms in ways that are applicable to everyday life. He is currently working on a number of projects, including a book about his philosophical approach to achievement and fulfillment.
What is Holistic Wellness?
The Ryan David Foundation Coaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is a holistic approach to a healthy well rounded life of fulfillment and balance. Assessment includes identifying areas of concern, as well as desired outcomes that are both unique and specific to each individual. From there, focus is on the whole individual and the three primary areas of thoughts, emotions, and behavior. These three areas can be further broken down into categories that require our conscious attention to remain or achieve functioning at an optimal level of wellness. The goal of my holistic approach to coaching is to establish alignment and congruence in each area of life. This is done through the use of discussing and applying scientifically proven techniques, principles and methods from the field of positive psychology, clinical psychology and neuroscience.
